your eyes aren’t deceiving you.

this is an actual blog post.

it’s been a hot minute since my last post {december 11th}, so I’ll update you.

I found at least 14 grey hairs on my pretty little head. and I had a maaaajor meltdown. randy tells me I’m making things up, but my sister the stylist confirmed that they were in fact grey. or maybe they were gray. they were some variation of that spelling…neither of which are pretty.

then a couple days later, my back went out. like for real. couldn’t move. I moaned and groaned {not in the fun way} until my mom forced me to go to the doctor. the doctor told me I pulled a muscle. question of the year is “how did you pull a muscle in your back?” well ladies, your guess is as good as mine. lord knows I don’t work out or lift heavy things. my vacuum cleaner only weights 8lbs, and my dogs are 10 and 15 respectively. after telling doc this, he told me I must have done it in my sleep. and then he winked at me.

both of these horrific incidents happened mere days before my 28th birthday. pretty sure it was a sign. that I’m getting old. I’m falling apart. pretty soon you’ll be able to find me in the local nursing home…I’ll be the grey/gray headed lady moaning and groaning {not in the fun way} roaming the halls with her walker. with tennis balls.

I spent two weeks in houston for christmas with my lame back, which made me even more homesick than ever.

randy started school at the beginning of january, and I hardly see him. sometimes I forget what he looks like, and then when he walks into the house, I feel like I’m being burglarized by a sexy stranger.

all of my friends had kids and/or got pregnant. I can only count on one hand the number of real life friends I have that do NOT have babies or are pregnant. and I have a lot of friends. I mean, not to brag or anything but I got all campus most friendliest in high school. sooo…yeah. everyone’s leaving me behind. I’m still not ready to have kids, and I definitely won’t be ready anytime soon. like I said, I barely see my husband as it is and I already have to share him with two dogs….so if we had to add his spawn into the mix, I’d be non-existent. this girl NEEDS attention, and I’m not scared to admit it. I turn into bratty brynn when I don’t get attention, and no one likes a brat.

other than that, my life is pretty much the same. still housewife-ing. still trying to find my way around dallas.
