so i was cleaning out my old computer {from college} and moving all my pictures over to my google drive, when i came across a GOLD MINE of pictures that made me say, “i can’t believe i did that.” and sadly, there are a LOT where that came from. so welcome to the first installment of “what was i thinking?”
and my first installment is called, TEXAS TOGA.
it was the first sorority date party of my sophomore year. i had just moved in to the CUTEST duplex in college station with my cousin danielle, and bff jennifer {who both happened to be my sorority sisters as well}. and we did what any normal 20 year old’s with a fancy new house would do….we had a pre-party.
now if you are/were in a sorority in college, you know that pre-partying is a BIG no-no. and before any kind of date party or mixer we would get the “talk” about how pre-partying was prohibited and we’d be in BIG TROUBLE if we even tried it.
but of course, no one ever listened, and the pre-partying commenced.
i don’t look so bad, right?
got my cowboy hat, got my toga.
but what you can’t really tell is that girlfriend had ZERO make up on. like nothing.
it gets better.
before we even get into the obvious. check out how cute everyone else’s togas are….and then look at my walmart clearance sheet. i didn’t even make time to cut it or anything. basically that thing is hanging on by like 5 safety pins.
and then there are the house shoes. i bet you’re allllll wondering why i am wearing house shoes. and not just any house shoes, but grandma house shoes. and to be honest, i am wondering the same thing.
i bet you think i took them off before we left the house to go to the date party, right?
wrong.
this sister wore em.

with cute boys.
so let’s summarize quickly, ok?
1. it’s a sorority date party night…where it’s appropriate to look slutty/cute because it’s themed. BUT…
2. brynn and friends had an ILLEGAL {in sorority life and real life..for real, we were only 20} pre-party. SO…
3. brynn insists on spending her time drinking and not preparing for the date party. THEREFORE…
4. brynn shows up to date party with NO makeup, a sheet that needed repinning after every dance, and HOUSE SHOES.
is this real life?!

HAHAHA!! That was my first AXO date party!!!! Who had the idea to combine togas with cowboy hats? Oooh the awkward photos!

hahahahah I am laughing so hard because it brings back so many sorority memories for me. Hey, sometimes I think the most fun nights were when I "forgot" to finish my makeup before going out!
I am dying over those granny slippers! They even make the actual flip flop sound when you walk!! You are cray. I think you looked super cute though:)
